About Me

Hello! My name is Emily McFarling! I married the love of my life, Chase, in May of 2025. We have a 2 year old son named Henry, and our newest addition Colt who just turned 1!

Chase always saw my love for photography and wanted me to pursue it as I've been a stay at home mom since Henry was born. I had been working full time in the film industry body doubling before COVID hit, and so I was itching for another artistic project. So my fiancé bought me my first camera for Christmas of 2023. Immediately I started practicing and gaining clients, growing more confident in my work and skill with each and every photoshoot.

I chose the name Free Rein Photography for my business because I simply don't like to set limits. A lot of photographers like to stick with one specific style, but I love all forms of photography and art. Want something bright and warm? Or dark and moody? Simple portraits or something more artsy and challenging? I want to do it all! In fact, I love art in general so much that I also have music released on all streaming platforms under my stage name, Emmy Allin.
